Jason Von Stietz, PhD
Adult, Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist
"Are you tired of anxiety and old habits preventing you from achieving your goals? Have you been dealing with life's problems by trying harder, venting to friends and family, and avoiding stressful situations, and things never seem to get better? Are you ready for change? I'll work collaboratively with you to tailor time-tested and evidence-based approaches to meet your specific needs."
Dr. Jason von Stietz specializes in working with adults, adolescents, and athletes and performers of all levels. He focuses on the intersection of mental health and performance, understanding that challenges such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, and OCD can impact both personal and professional pursuits. His comprehensive care includes evidence-based treatments like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Inference-based Cognitive Behavior Therapy (I-CBT), and Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and the Unified Protocol (UP) of CBT. Dr. von Stietz takes an integrative approach, often incorporating mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and culturally sensitive adaptations to meet the unique needs of his clients.
Dr. von Stietz's extensive experience in sport psychology allows him to help athletes optimize their performance while navigating the pressures of competition. He employs the Mindfulness Acceptance Commitment (MAC) approach to enhance mental focus and resilience. For athletes recovering from injuries, he addresses "mental blocks" to support a safe and confident return to play.
